Maritime Cyber Security Adoption: Sikker Seilas i en digital tid Norge er en stormakt til havs, kjent for banebrytende teknologi og bærekraftige løsninger i maritim industri. Men i takt med at skip blir smartere og mer digitaliserte, øker også faren for cyberangrep. For å møte disse utfordringene, skal prosjektet Maritime Cyber Security Adoption styrke cybersikkerheten i den norske maritime klyngen. Cybertrusler kan lamme både skip og havner, true sikkerheten til mannskap og laste, og i verste fall stoppe verdenshandelen. Derfor haster det med å styrke beredskapen. Prosjektet, ledet av GCE Blue Maritime, samler aktører som Kongsberg, DnV, NTNU, Digicat og VARD for å gi industrien verktøy, kunnskap og trening i å møte digitale trusler. Gjennom workshops, vurderingsverktøy, rådgivning og realistiske øvelser i NTNU sitt avanserte treningssenter, får bedrifter hjelp til å forstå og møte kravene i nye standarder som IACS UR E26 og E27 samt EUs Cyber Resilience Act. Målet? Økt bevissthet, sterkere motstandsdyktighet og et konkurransefortrinn for norsk skipsfart. Dette handler ikke bare om teknologi, men om trygg og bærekraftig verdiskaping til sjøs – i dag og i framtida

Based on the expereince from running 5 Cybersecurity-oriented activities in 2023 and 2024 we will update and expand our concept to include 4 buidling blocks: 1) Cyber Security Maturity Assessment: DNV’s “Marine System Cyber Maturity Self-Assessment tool” is designed to help maritime OEMs and other stakeholders understand the cyber security status of marine control systems and what needs to be done to enhance it. This tool will be promoted and all participants encouraged and motivated to take the self-assessment test, free of charge. 2) Simulation and Training; The Norwegian Cyber Range, managed by NTNU, is an advanced facility for testing, training, and exercising in cybersecurity, with the facility in Ålesund is especially targeting the maritime industry. Its capabilities include skill enhancement for professionals, simulations, and educational programs, fostering robust cybersecurity resilience. We will showcase this facility and motivate participants to utilize this. 3) 1:1 Advisory; Digicat is part of Nemonoor, one of two Norwegian European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) supported by EU. We will utilise this partnership to deliver services to the cluster members that participate in cybersecurity activities, at favourable cost due the EU and Innovation Norway’s contribution into Nemonoor. 4) Work Shops: Conduct workshops and seminars that deal with the E26 and E27 standards from IACS, EU's CRA, as well as more generic topics related to the cyber threat situation. The workshops will focus on how to work with cyber security in the “day-to-day” operation, increasing the companies' resilience and compliance with the regulations. In these events, we will use both internal and external speakers.
